Maintenance Of DC Chucks

Daily maintenance and lifespan extension of DC suction cups should focus on three core aspects: cleaning and protection, pressure control, and damage prevention, adapting to different types of suction cups such as pneumatic and vacuum suction cups.

Daily maintenance requires cleaning the surface of the DC suction cup daily, wiping away oil, dust, and foreign objects with a lint-free cloth to prevent debris residue from causing seal failure. Regularly inspect the edges of the DC suction cup for cracks, wear, aging, and deformation; repair minor damage promptly, and replace severely damaged cups immediately. Pressure control must match the rated parameters to avoid overpressure causing elastic fatigue of the DC suction cup. For vacuum suction cups, check the pipeline sealing to prevent air leakage from accelerating wear.

Regarding lifespan extension, avoid contact with sharp, high-temperature, and corrosive media. When not in use, place the suction cup in a dry, ventilated environment, away from heat sources and direct sunlight to prevent material aging. Use a buffer pad during installation to reduce the impact load during workpiece gripping. Replace vulnerable parts regularly according to working conditions, and maintain a maintenance log to record inspection and replacement times.
